* About The Role
We are seeking passionate individuals with the potential to contribute to both the Korean and global startup and innovation ecosystems.
The ideal candidate should possess insights for identifying startups with global business capabilities and support their international business expansion.
Candidates should be able to provide specialized services, such as global startup programs and advisory services, to partners including Korean and international government agencies and corporates that are actively engaged in the ecosystem.
* Key Responsibilities
- Business development for global startup and open innovation programs in collaboration with partners, including government agencies
- Planning, executing and managing the programs and startups
- Planning, managing, and communicating sub-activities organized by MTB with global stakeholders
- Ability to create a personal network of professionals in different industries in which MTB is involved
- Expand networks and seek new opportunities for collaboration with global startup and innovation ecosystem stakeholders
- Support in the creation of marketing and communication material for specific programs or activities;
* Qualities & Skills
Understanding of the Startup and Innovation Ecosystem
- 3+ years of experience in accelerator or venture capital or strategic advisory firm
- Deep understanding of the growth process and characteristics of startups
- Understanding of ecosystem stakeholders and ability to develop strategies for stakeholders’ interest and growth
Business Development Skills
- Ability to conduct domestic and international market research and analysis
- Ability to identify new business opportunities and establish partnerships
- Skills in expanding and managing collaboration networks with Korean and international government agencies and corporates
Project Management
- Ability to manage global startups and open innovation programs
- Responsible for startup and client management
- Ability to work independently and multi-task with a high degree of project and time-management capacity
Advisory Capabilities
- Ability to provide consulting to startups for local and global business
- Capability of giving insights and solutions for open innovation activities to government agencies and corporates
Networking and Communication
- Fluency or proficiency in Korean and English (other languages are highly appreciated, such as Chinese or Japanese)
- Ability to communicate with Korea and global teams
- Ability to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders in the startup ecosystem
Technical Understanding
- Understanding of the technology and innovation trends
- Basic understanding of the operations and tech stack of technology startups
